Greetings!
Larissa here — the proud aficionado of romantasy books! Okay, okay, some people may not love to be so openly obsessed, but hey — I am who I am, and I love what I love. Ever since I finally caved and entered the world of ACOTAR, IYKYK, I fell head over heels. It became my entire personality, and honestly? I’m not mad about it. If you mention anything remotely bookish, I will absolutely give you a recommendation or dive into a full-on book chat.
Based in the picturesque Fruitvale, B.C., nestled in the stunning West Kootenays, I’m your go-to photographer if you’re looking for someone fun-loving, mildly quirky, and creatively book-inclined. Behind the lens, I’m the one capturing, documenting, and cheering you on — even in those awkward moments when you realize a camera is pointed at you. My photography style is laid-back, playful, and occasionally a tad saucy (hello, couples and empowered women!). What truly lights me up is capturing those real, raw, in-between moments that make your story uniquely yours.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve invested in education, top-notch equipment, and forged friendships in the industry that are pure gold. Photography isn’t just my passion — it’s my livelihood and the dream job I never thought possible. It also gives me the flexibility to be with our two adorable, busy kids while crafting a work schedule that fits our family seamlessly.
Beyond the lens, I’m not only a book lover — I’m also a fall enthusiast, hat collector, wine connoisseur, caffeine devotee, thrifty shopper, and a wife and mother who fully embraces the comfort of sweatpants. On most days, you’ll catch me running my kids to hockey or softball, or glued to the computer with a cup of coffee, working during every spare moment.
When it comes to my craft, I’m a devoted natural light photographer. No elaborate setups, no crazy lighting — I thrive on using what’s readily available, whether it’s a simple wall or the breathtaking outdoors. While nature holds a special place in my heart, I also love the cozy feel of indoor shoots near large windows — especially during chilly winter months or for intimate sessions like newborn or boudoir photography. My style has evolved over the last couple of years, both in capturing clients and refining my editing techniques, and this past year has reinforced the importance of staying true to myself and my unique style.
After exploring my galleries, if you feel a connection and believe I could be the right fit for you, shoot me a message! I’d love nothing more than to chat and bring your vision to life.
Lots of love,
Larissa
