I honestly cannot imagine a better match in a partner for my gorgeous cousin Kaila. Kaila and Dave were truly meant to be. They go together like coffee and cream and I am in love with their love story, mostly because I had a small hand in it!
I had been trying to set Kaila up for what felt like months and all of my potential matches were turned down with a big fat NO from our lovely bride (thankfully). This all changed when one evening I was out on the town with a bunch of girlfriends. Kaila was at a work function that had finished early and called to say that she would come join in the fun! After a few more drinks and some dancing, we were all sitting at a table and my friend asked me if I knew any nice single girls for her brother in-law. Immediately I motioned to Kaila, who by this time was having the night of her life. One mention about a potential set up from someone other than me and she jumps on it! Phone numbers were exchanged and my girlfriend promptly got onto her brother in-law Dave to make his move. He reached out a day or so later and the rest was history.
After Dave popped the question, they agreed upon a small intimate wedding at Kaila's family cabin out in Balfour BC. She and her family had been going to Balfour since she was young and it holds such a special place in her heart. After almost four truly amazing years together, the two tied the knot on June 30th!
Kaila has always been a bit of a perfectionist and is a wickedly creative and talented artist with phenomenal wood working skills. No-one was surprised when Kaila made not one, but all of the decorations - right down to the wooden placemats and favours for the guests.
It was the most perfect day from start to finish. We began with a first-look on their property, then ventured to the absolutely amazing Fletcher Falls for more photos. We returned to the cabin for a beautiful ceremony over-looking the lake, followed by a one of the most fun receptions I have ever been to. The food was delicious, the music was on point and everyone danced late into the night.
I was so happy to be able to photograph this special day for my best friend and cousin and her amazing husband! I wish them nothing but a lifetime of happiness and love
