Two years ago, I hosted a weekend of mini sessions, the location was this gorgeous spot you see in the first set of images, the Marcon’s amazing property! In return, I offered them a Family Short Session. We meant to get together either that fall or winter, but then life happened and it fell off both our radar. It wasn’t until Amy and I were both attending a function that we came to realization that this still needed to happen! I was so excited to work with Amy, Garrett and their two beautiful boys! Their property is amazing and the fall colours were just coming into full swing! We planned for a day in October, almost an entire year later. Honestly, i’m so glad we waited, their youngest was now walking and it really allowed for the sessions to take the direction of where the kids wanted to go, which I love. Letting kids be kids and going with the flow isn’t always easy, especially as parents but as a photographer I find it allows for the most raw imagery. We wrapped the session and Amy asked if I would be able to capture her boys with her parents the following weekend. We choose a location in Waneta and got into the ferns! Both sessions were so much fun to capture, the energy of the boys was both hilarious and exhausting to watch and reminded me so much of my own kids!
