It amazes me how much babies change within that first year. Being so tiny and helpless, needing to be fed, to holding their bottles, feeding themselves with first their hands then utensils, scooching, crawling, walking, talking, developing their own unique personality and all within 12 months! It really is amazing to see the transformation! Going back on my hard drive to even October which was only 5 months ago I can see such a transformation in this beautiful little girl! It’s not until we look back on photos, even if it’s just 5 months, that we realize how much our babies have changed. Seeing your own kids day in and day out you notice the big things but the little things somehow get missed. This is why I think it is so important to be capturing your littles ones as much as you can within that first year!

I captured Michelle, Dan and their beautiful daughter Emily on a wonderfully foggy October morning. I love a good overcast day especially in the fall, I find the colours stand out all that more without the sun reflecting off of them and the low hanging clouds add some whimsy. Emily was such a sweetheart to work with, expressive, and giggly. If at any point she wasn’t Dan, Michelle and I just rolled with it and managed to turn her little frowns upside-down. The morning couldn’t have been anymore perfect.
