Fernweh Workshop | Part 2 - Couples | Salmon Arm | West Kootenay Photographer
Holy smokes did Tricia pull out the stops for her couple sessions! As attendees we got to get the whole Tricia Victoria experience, a steamy in home session, a romantic bridal session, and a playful adventure session! Needless to say it was hands down amazing watching her do her thang!
The first session of the day took place in a beautiful custom home, so beautiful it has its own instagram account @thehouseincanoe . The session started off playful in the kitchen making coffee, then quickly moving to wine and beer, as one would (it’s 5:00 somewhere!). Once we wrapped up in the kitchen, we moved into two different bedrooms, each one offering a completely different lighting scenario and then into a tub full of bubbles! Now remember, this house had nearly 30 people in it, most of which had giant cameras pointed in this couples face and in some pretty steamy scenarios. If this were me being photographed, I would have been so nervous! If these two were at all nervous, they certainly didn’t show it! Both of them were so chill and so much fun to work with! Tricia has a way of easing her clients and making the experience carefree and playful. On this day it was no different, even with the added 25 other photographers behind her.
The last two couple sessions took place in the evening along with our second family session. Imagine this, 3 amazing sessions happening all at once and you as a photographer trying your hardest to not miss a thing and capture it all! Well that’s just what we did and it was freaking unreal! That evening was such an adrenaline rush and it was so awesome to be part of it!
Our first couple was a styled bridal shoot, including colourful florals and a Reclamation dress, not to mention an absolutely gorgeous couple! These two looked like they stepped out of a bridal magazine, total perfection! Mermaid hair, piercing green eyes, a romantic yet playful connection, these two had it all!
Our last and most explosive couple drove in from Kelowna to be captured by Tricia. These two had a hipster/rocker vibe and they were SO. MUCH. FUN! They were like ying and yang, the white on rice, what ever you want to call it, they had IT! Married and with a son at home, this couple knows how to have a good time! Playing tag, jumping on each others back, licking faces, they were on fire!
At the end of the day each couples session was so incredibly unique and each couple was matched with absolute perfection to their shoots, I honestly don’t think it could have been any better! If you are a photographer and are wanting to do a workshop I would highly recommend checking out Tricia and Jayme and the Fernweh Workshop. It was a complete game changer for me and I feel so fortunate that I was able to attend!
