Lifestyle Family Sessions might quite possibly be my favourite type of family session. I love being a fly on the wall observing a family sending time with each other and having fun! When Lindsay originally reached out to me she knew that she wanted family photos, but knew the attention span of her little guys and her husband would not last long. They were on a family vacation and had rented a cabin on the beach at Kootenay Lake. The goal was to document their time there together at there so I recommend a Lifestyle Session and asked for her to put together a couple activities for everyone to do while I was with them. When I arrived, they had built a sand castle earlier in the day so we started off there, then fishing, running on the beach and dad playing a ukulele while the kids and mom played kazoos. The biggest thing I tell my family clients especially ones with little kids, is to just go with it. Let the kids lead the way, run, play and just be. This is when the magic truly happens! Tom and Lindsay were experts at doing this and session was so laid back and playful because of it! We wrapped it up with the boys jumping on the bed and a charcuterie board that had my mouth watering!

I am so excited for the winter lifestyle extended family sessions I have booked this holiday season and cannot wait to spend time with some amazing new families!
