Often times, rain can put a damper on a photo shoot but on this day we embraced it. On this day there was something magical about the rain and they way the light was shining through it. I will never shy away from photographing in the rain and so long as the client is ok to get a little wet, i’m 100% in….so long as it isn’t down pour!

Any reason to spend the night at Christina Lake is a good reason for me! Going out for work and capturing the most adorable family is truly the cherry on top! This woodsy family session was perfection, the location, their wardrobe, the weather! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!

I love watching how a family interacts with each other, how cousins play and adult siblings can still play around like it was the good ol’ days! This summer I had the pleasure to document some amazing families! Each family was so unique, kind and loving and had their own dynamics.

Natalie and Tyler did their wedding exactly their way and it was perfect! They chose to elope in the States a few days before celebrating with their closet friends and family in Winlaw at the Karibu Park Cottages and Campground.

When I received an inquiry from a dad who wanted to do a family session, I had a feeling that I was going to capture something magical!

Tyler and Jordan have the best little love story! These two actually dated for 9 months while in high school during their grade 12 year! At the time, it didn’t work out, but as luck would have it they reconnected two years later! A couple years after that, they planned the most perfect wedding in the Okanagan.

I had a vision and that vision was a fun loving couple playing around at the fair grounds. It was a session I had dreamed about for some time. These two put a flame to my candle and LIT up those fair grounds! It was magical and so much fun! These two completely rocked the session and I am forever grateful that they came out to help turn my vision into reality!

I love newborn sessions, but not in the traditional posed sense. I am all about in home lifestyle sessions! I want to wrap your sweet newborn up in a swaddle or put them in a little onesie and capture them, mom, dad and any siblings in their home cuddling up, loving on that sweet new addition.

It wasn't until I was driving to the hospital to be there for the preparation of Stef’s scheduled c-section that the gravity of what I was documenting really hit me. I had been wanting to do an at home lifestyle session just like this for some time, so when Haylee reached out saying she was looking for some low key newborn photos of Grey, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! Working with families in their home where they are most comfortable is such an amazing experience. Everyone is so relaxed, comfortable and happy!

Recently I started offering Portrait Shorts: 30 minute sessions with a limited number of images. Haylee and George were my first clients to experience this new service and, as always, it was a lot of fun. The boys are wild and George and Haylee are pros at going with the flow. Baby Vale! Oh, how I love your name! It is so sweet, yet so regal! I was so incredibly excited when I found out Courtney had given birth to a baby girl! No, it wasn’t because now she had her boy and girl, it was because I had bins upon bins of baby girl clothes in my basement that I desperately wanted to pass on. I couldn’t bring myself to just get rid of them or sell them, after all most of it was given to me or hand-me-downs anyways. No, these adorable baby girl clothes needed to go to someone I knew would love them and little Vale was the girl!

Back to before the smoke rolled in and the leaves turned yellow, I got to spend the evening with this wonderful couple at our very own Gyro Park. These two travelled all the way from Edmonton for a 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration and while they were here we snuck in a little them time to capture their blossoming love!
